Last Ground

.

          Description

A massive invasion is spreading across the galaxy. Countless hostile forces are attacking planets and destroying everything in their path.

As a freelance planetary defender, you've been hired to protect several territories from the incoming threat. Your clients are counting on you, failure is not an option.

Fight back against enemy swarms and invading ships, and try rebuilding platforms before everything is destroyed.

Don't get too comfortable though, each mission introduces new challenges, trickier terrain and more demanding jumps.

.

          How to Play

Each mission consists of several enemy swarms attacking your territory. There are two types of enemies:

  • Enemy units: Drop onto your platforms and destroy them one by one. They won't attack you directly, but don't let them destroy too much of your territory!
  • Enemy ships: Unlike regular enemies, they can shoot projectiles at you. Missed shots can destroy platforms and even hit their own units!

Your job is to defend the platforms by eliminating incoming threats and rebuilding damaged platforms. If the destruction score (at the top of the screen) reaches 0, you immediately lose the mission. You have 3 lives, which can only be lost to enemy ships.

[Remarks]

Asteroid Level : Asteroids fall from above and can destroy your platforms. You can shoot them before they hit the ground and break them apart.

Blackout Level: Your vision is limited.

          Personal Note

Making this game has been a really fun experience, from coming up with the idea to building all the mechanics and designing the levels. I'm really with how it turned out and happy to finally share it with everyone as part of the 2026 Retro Game Jam. I hope you'll have as much fun playing it as I had making it. Thanks for giving my game a try! Good luck !

PS: if you notice a lag or malfunction before the deadline feel free to tell me so I can fix it up in time thanks :)
